Sterling Media has won the coveted PR Firm of the Year award at the second annual UK-India Awards 2018 as the global business and communications consultancy, which took place at the London Hilton on Park Lane on Friday 22nd June 2018.

A key highlight of UK-India Week (18-22 June 2018), the UK-India Awards 2018 recognize innovative and path-breaking individuals and organisations that are making a significant contribution to the strong global partnership between Brexit Britain and Global India. Hosted by Indian film actor Vivek Oberoi, the awards were attended by 400 senior leaders from the world of business, politics, diplomacy, arts & culture, and the social sector including The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Foreign Minister Rt. Hon Mark Field MP, and Indian actor Shilpa Shetty who was presented the ‘India Inc. Global Indian Icon Award’.

Sterling Media has developed a strong reputation as one of the first communications agencies in the UK to drive thought-leadership strategies for Indian narratives across politics, culture, social advocacy.

Speaking about Sterling Media’s win,Global CEO Natasha Mudhar said: “We are deeply honoured and humbled to receive the PR Firm of the Year award from the UK-India Awards. The host of winning businesses across India and the UK also included Standard Chartered, which won The British Asian Trust’s Social Impact Project of the Year, and the London Stock Exchange, which was named The State Bank of India’s Financial Services Organisation of the Year.

Speaking about the UK-India awards and the partnership between the two nations,The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said:

 “A significant part of my job is getting the message out to our friends and allies around the world that, despite Brexit, London is – and always will be – open.  It was a message I was proud to take to India last year when we took a delegation of businesses to the great cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar. And one of the most rewarding aspects of our visit was helping to forge new deals – deals that would create new jobs, opportunities and possibilities for Londoners.”

 He added, “We are doing all we can to boost our links with India. Not just in the fields of business and commerce, but across our cultural and creative industries too. Whether it’s a love of Bollywood or Biryani, cricket or Kabaddi, I know our relationship today is rooted in our shared interests, our shared values and our shared way of life.”
